    2. �� Exactly. Welsh looks so strange if you didn't grow up with it. My husband is German and he has great fun trying to guess how to pronounce town names whenever we visit my family there. I love in turn teasing him about his family's lovely Saxon dialect. �� Was war das? Du brauchst ein "Dashendög" (Taschentuch).

  6. Hiraeth has a perfect translation in Brazilian, "saudade", a word with that exact meaning that is often mentioned as being untranslatable to other languages :-)
