Major Landmark

In Iceland, there are two sizes of urban settlements: an old shed full of fishing gear, and ReykjavΓ­k.

  1. This reminds me of a pretty English village (I've forgotten the name) my mother had seen on a postcard. She persuaded us to do a detour to see it, because there would probably be more picturesque houses like the two on the card. After driving through the middle of nowhere, we indeed saw those two cottages and assumed we had to be nearing the main village. Then we saw the smallest of churches and another cottage, before passing a sign saying "You are now leaving X, Thank you for driving carefully." πŸ˜…
    I can't remember the name, but I'll never forget the 'village'. πŸ’œ
