Okay so I decided I'm going to try this Tinyview exclusivity thing for 4 weeks (including last week, so 3 weeks to go), and then evaluate how I feel along with how you're feeling, and decide one way or the other about it at that point.

So please feel free to keep telling me what you think, that's very important to me! Thanks :)

  1. First of all, thank you for your comics! I have been following you for some years now, and enjoy each and everyone of it!

Secondly, I read your comics on desktop, and for me the tinyview comics also work on my desktop, so no problem there!

    1. Thank you, Chrissie. I assumed, as a non-use of smartphones, that the move to Tinyfeet would be the end of my Itchy Feet days, but , thanks to your message, I've just discovered I can still read it on my laptop. Good news!

  2. The only gripes I have with TinyView is that they don't have an RSS feed. At least, I couldn't find an option. Just a link to the new comic would be more than adequate.

    1. Second that. The lack of an RSS feed means no more Itchy Feet for me, for now at least.

  3. The TinyView website UX is just horrible in browser. I can see why people like it for mobile, but as somebody who reads Itchy Feet on desktop, it's just not up to scratch. Extreme white space on the left and right, and there's no infinitely scrolling list of comics so I can't just refresh on a Monday morning and read the next installment. If I had come across Itchy Feet when on TinyView instead of here, I probably wouldn't have done a backlog crawl because doing so would have been too painful.

  4. Their site is only designed for mobile and is beyond horrible to view on desktop. Hope they either sort out their interface or you go back to hosting it here again soon or I'll be removing my RSS subscription. I've bought a few books of yours over the years as gifts for friends after finding this website, I certainly wouldn't have stayed with it if I had come across it on that site.

  5. Thanks again for this comic... there is a big missing item in this list When to use 은/는 and 이/가 :D :D
I'm at the beginning beginning to try to learn Japanese (just the first syllabus, really beginning), and I'm always comparing it with korean hangeul (hangeul are so great :D )

  7. Tinyview on the desktop is okay. It's not great, but it's not bad. I have to strongly emphasize the need of an RSS feed though. I don't randomly check websites for updates, and I don't use social media to see if my friends have posted links to new comics. So the only way I know if there's a new comic out is via RSS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you could obviously keep your RSS feed and link to the Tinyview article, as you've been doing. I'm fine with that.

I do hope you have a backup plan in case you and Tinyview call it quits. I imagine you keep all your content backed up somewhere, but it'd probably take a lot of time to manually publish all the only-on-Tinyview comics back to your website if you stop using them (for whatever reason).
