Holy Rollers

Bicycles are revered in the Netherlands to the point of absurity

  1. Normality is relative to experience.

  2. Slightly exaggerated. Slighty.
I only drove through the netherlands (in a bus ^^) but the sight of a bicycle highway and hundreds of bicycles parked on front of a train station let me feel like heaven ^^

  3. Totally true! I was just in Amsterdam yesterday! The air there is so fresh without all the cars!

  4. Wish it was like this in more cities!

  5. I have not been to Amsterdam, but Groningen was a hell for a pedestrian. I don't understand why the bike anarchy has to be taken to an extreme. I agree that there should be less cars in big cities, but they would be much nicer places if all types of street users peacefully co-existed.
