  1. Lest we forget the French Frisk! I just considered it a full body massage and went on. Though in Mexico they were like..."Um...put your shoes back on please..."

    Love it!

    1. You know, I think you may be on to something here. Let's open an airport-themed massage parlor!

  2. This reminds me of the Seinfeld Soup Nazi:

    "Bread, 2 dollars!"
"But that guy got bread for free."
    "3 dollars!"

  3. At ORD on our way to Manila the TSA got worked up about the blocks of cheese in my carry on, they took an extra screening of it. We transited through Narita and they didn't bother with the cheese but my wife's nailset. They told her they were very strict in Japan!

I had some spaghetti spices in my carry on (years ago returning to to the UAE from a summer vacation) and I was going through security in London and the security folks were very interested in that, they did not say anything to me, but put it in front of me and ran my camera through the X-Ray twice, I figure someone was eyeing me up real close looking for signs of nervousness and the like.

  4. Speaking of Africa, I was in Tanzania and we went into the Serrengetti and the fee was X. When we exited they informed us the entry fee was raised while we were inside and yes we had to pay up. Fortunately, my companions and I were able to buck up, but one of our mates had to cash a travellers check and she was skinned for a 60% fee.
