Convenience

recycling in germany is ridiculous

  1. You... you MONSTER! :)

Just wait until you discover the wonders of the local recycling centers ("Wertstoffhof") and their delightful inhabitants. On-site staff will be bigger than you, stronger than you, grumpier than you, in short: they are the (comparatively) tiny gods keeping a watchful eye over their holy ground filled to the brim with specialized trash receptacles. Incurring divine wrath is very much discouraged.

    1. I'll have to keep my dirty habits as secret as possible. Thanks for the tip

  2. I love it!
Also, I think it's time to move our tomato plant from the balcony to the sick plants' trashcan

  3. Did you make sure that you didn't throw the glass into the recycling container between 20:00-6:00, 13:00-15:00, as well as on Sundays and holidays? Also did you remember to take out the Pfand glass that you accidentally threw in there by mistake?

    1. I don't have to worry about that now that it all goes in the trash! The simplest answer is usually the best.

  4. A bin for uncreased paper but none for creased paper? Where do I put my handkerchiefs now?
That was a Fangfrage, you don't throw handkerchiefs into the container for paper, it's obviously Restmüll!
