  2. Always tempted to try this one out on a test, but I'm also just as hesitant that I'll just be dunning-krugering myself, you know?

    1. Do tell what a "dunning-krugering" is. It sounds painful, and illegal.

    2. Haha, no, no, it's nothing so bad as that. The dunning-kruger effect is the name given to when a person doesn't even have enough knowledge/ability/skills to recognize their mistakes, and so they think they're fantastic at whatever they're doing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect

    4. The only problem with this "alcohol treatment" is that you can't quite remember what you said and how you said it...

    1. That's how spammers bypass the filters. Some (most?) spam filters gauge the probability that a post is spam by the percentage of the post that seems suspicious. So the spammers set up bots to post their affiliate links or what have you, but they set them up to sample big blocks of text from other websites.

    1. Yeah definitely, because the only thing alcohol really does is dampen your fear of making mistakes.

  5. After the Weichnachtsfeier my colleagues suggested me coming to work drunk. They said my German improved substantially after the fourth beer.

  6. Right out of college, I had 4 Puerto Rican roommates. They threw a party one time and I had drank so much that the guests were convinced that I was Puerto Rican too since I was speaking nothing but Spanish the whole night. What blew my cover? I forgot the word for "ice"....
